The aromatic profile shows a good intensity of fruity-fermentative, floral and citrus aromas. The wine has remarkable freshness and persistence. It is suitable for the production of high quality sparkling wines or perfumed wines with short periods of refining. Sortencharakteristik: Pinot Iskra is an average ripening resistant white winegrape variety for high quality wine production. Excellent resistance to downy and powdery mildew. Good winter hardiness with resistance up to -20°C. Adaptable to different trellis and pruning systems because of the high fertility of the basal buds. Geschichte: At the beginning of the present millennium Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo recognized that it was essential to invest resources and fnd out defnite solutions to the challenges faced by growers and consumers. Consequently, in 2006, at the time of the establishment of the new Applied Genomics Institute (IGA) of Udine, they became fnancial partners and initiated a close collaboration with the University of Udine aimed to evaluate disease- resistant grapevines and to breed new table and wine disease-resistant varieties.
