Estate Argyros is family winery, established in 1903 and it is now runned by the 4th generation. Argyros's family owns one of the biggest (75 acres) and the oldest vineyards (over 150 years old vines) on the island and that fact provides us the luxury to guarantee the quality of the grapes. We have a quite wide range of products based only on indigenous varieties from Santorini, which is mainly the Assyrtiko. Besides, we are trying hard to revive and replant more rare varieties of the region, such as Aidani and Mavrotragano. Vinsanto Argyros - the sweet wine from sundried grapes - aged for 20 years is one of our most well known labels, as being the oldest label you can find and a very well awarded wine every year in the most important competitions and tastings. Estate Argyros has a very good reputation in all over the world, as we focus on quality wines and wines of ageing. It has been listed in the Top 100 Best Wineries in the World by Wine and Spirits magazine for the years 2005 and 2006.
